Saturday’s card at Churchill Downs is headlined by the G3 Music City Stakes, which covers a distance of 1 1/8 miles on the turf. Ole Crazy Bone and Kupuna should be respected, but Lambeth looks to be the standout chance for trainer Joe Sharp. The five-year-old was an excellent winner of the G2 Sycamore Stakes at Keeneland last time, scoring a mighty Equibase speed figure of 109.

Has consistently been hitting big numbers throughout the season, including when second in the Bowling Green Gold Cup Invitational Stakes at Kentucky Downs in September. His late stretch kick ensures that this drop in distance should suit, especially with a hot pace likely with Ole Crazy Bone involved.

One of the most competitive races on the Churchill Downs card this Saturday is an allowance optional claiming race, run over 1 1/16 miles. Poster was running to a high standard throughout 2024 and 2025, headlined by a win in the G2 Remsen Stakes, before running a close third in the Sam F Davis.

Showed plenty of that ability when only beaten a head by Skippylongstocking in the G3 Harlan’s Holiday last December, before running tenth in the G1 Pegasus World Cup, before returning with a disappointing effort at Keeneland when sixth of nine in an allowance race on the turf in October. Will likely take a step forward for that return, and +300 is more than fair this Saturday.
