Game Preview
The home team lost its previous two games in front of its own fans. That was a huge setback for Brest, who now needs to find the power to keep on going and try to make a sensation against PSG. Reaching the knockout stage is a huge success for this club, but since they play without pressure, everything is possible.
What is a positive thing is that Brest won two of its latest contests, both on the road in Troyes, 1-2 and Nantes, 0-2. Therefore, three of the latest four events Brest played were with 2 or 3 goals.
PSG played Monaco on Friday night, winning 4-1 and confidently showing its quality in the second 45 minutes. The Saints opened well, though Monaco leveled the score and went to a break without a deficit. However, in the second half, we saw PSG’s fury.
The Saints didn’t lose in the last 16 games, winning 13 and posting only three ties. By the way, PSG scored 29 times in the past 10 games. Their forwards are in excellent shape.
Brest vs. PSG Head-to-Head
In both matches this year, PSG beat Brest pretty easily. After 3-1 at home in September, the Saints were even more confident on the road last week, 2-5. By the way, PSG hasn’t lost to Brest since 1989.
Brest vs. PSG Prediction
We pick the guests to win here, due to their obvious power and domination over Brest. They beat Brest twice this season with a combined difference of 8-3.
