Cavaliers vs Pistons Game Preview

Donovan Mitchell and the Cavaliers hope to finally end their road struggles this playoffs, going through an active five-game losing streak on the road. They have a chance to finally get one in enemy territory, having defended homecourt in Games 3 and 4, but will need quality performances from the supporting cast. Mitchell made incredible history by tying for the most points in any half, scoring 43 points throughout the entire game. James Harden followed with 24 points and 11 assists, while Evan Mobley provided 17 points and eight rebounds.

Cade Cunningham and the Pistons have slowed after going through five consecutive wins, losing on the road in Games 3 and 4. Their defense has regressed on the road, giving up 116 points in Game 3 and 112 points in Game 4. Caris LeVert led the team in scoring throughout the latter matchup, producing 24 points and four rebounds off the bench. Cunningham came next with 19 points and six assists, while Tobias Harris contributed with 16 points and eight rebounds.

Cavaliers vs Pistons Predictions

The Pistons would take a 3-2 series lead with the win, and the same goes for the Cavaliers if they pull off the upset win on the road. Cleveland has the momentum it needs to finally take control of the series and enter Game 6 with a chance to clinch the series at home. However, Detroit will make that objective as difficult as possible by getting back to its elite defensive form earlier in the series. Our betting pick here is for the Pistons to defend a 4-point spread.
