Game Preview
Golden State Warriors lost Steph Curry due to an ankle injury against the LA Clippers, but even without the four-time NBA champion, they looked well against the Pelicans. A 104-89 victory was the second straight vs. New Orleans against whom they had played back-to-back games.
Six Warriors players scored double-digit points, with Buddy Hield leading the way against his former team with 21. Jonathan Kuminga scored 16, while Draymond Green had 14.
Shoutout to Houston, who was better than the Dallas Mavericks on the road. They beat the Western Conference champions 108-102, with Jalen Green being at the center of attention. The Mavs stormed back in the final period, though Green and Alperen Sengun stopped that push.
Green scored 23 points, Sengun 17 with 12 buckets. Dillon Brooks ended the night with 17 points too, and was very good on the defensive side when needed the most. Houston outrebounded the Mavs 50-37, which was the key to the win.
Warriors vs. Rockets Head to Head
The Warriors have 13 straight victories over the Houston Rockets, and all three wins last year were by at least 10 points.
Warriors vs. Rockets Prediction
It’s time for the Rockets to stop the negative streak and beat the Warriors. According to various sources, Curry won’t play this game, and even if he did, we would still pick the hosts. Houston is very potent in offense, plays fast basketball, and controls the glass; therefore, they have everything needed to beat this rival. So, it’s the Rockets to win here.
