Game Preview

San Diego State won an absolute thriller against Florida Atlantic in their Final Four game. They trailed by 12 points with less than 15 minutes left in the game, before putting together the 5th-largest comeback in Final Four history to make it a close game down the stretch. The Aztecs never stopped fighting, trading baskets back-and-forth with the Owls before finally winning on a stunning buzzer beater by Lamont Butler.

UConn continued their absolute domination, leading Miami from wire-to-wire, most of the time by double digits. The Huskies have won every single one of their NCAA Tournament games by double figures, something they also managed to do earlier on in the season when they rose to #1 in the rankings. Their defense once again shut down one of the nation’s top offenses with ease, while the offense kept surging.

Picks

Both San Diego State and UConn have had tremendous seasons, and are well deserving of a Finals appearance. The Aztecs took down the #1-overall seed in Alabama en route to their first-ever title game, while the Huskies won every single matchup by double digits. I picked UConn to win it all from the very start, and I’ll stick by that once more. I see the Huskies defense clamping down, earning them a 68-57 win.
