Match Preview
Huge action will take place at St. James’ Park in the Champions League on Wednesday. Newcastle currently sit second in the Group F standings, but they are still looking for a first win since returning to the competition. The Magpies avoided defeat on their return to the competition on matchday one, but their home form will be crucial in determining whether they will make it through to the knockout round.
Newcastle played out a 0-0 draw in their opening match, but they could have stolen maximum points with the last kick of the game against Milan. Their form since that draw has been excellent in the Premier League, as they have won each of their last two, scoring ten goals in the process.

PSG will be the clear favorites to top the Group F standings in this opening round, and the Parisians were at their very best as they kicked off their campaign with a straightforward 2-0 success over Borussia Dortmund. Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring from the spot, before Achraf Hakimi extended the lead just before the hour mark.
Mbappe’s form in the Champions League has been excellent, and the Frenchman has now scored 35 goals for PSG. Karim Benzema is the only Frenchman to have scored more goals in the competition for a single side.
Newcastle vs PSG Prediction
This should be a thrilling fixture at St. James’ Park on Wednesday. Newcastle’s home record is excellent under Eddie Howe, and we find it challenging to bet against the hosts. However, a chance is taken on an entertaining draw between the two sides this week.
