Match Preview
Both Lyon and Rangers kick-started their European campaigns this term with victories, meaning both will be chasing a second straight win on Thursday to enhance their chances of finishing in the qualifying places. The Gers were excellent in Sweden on matchday one, claiming a 2-0 success at Malmo.
Lyon could easily be one of the dark horse contenders to win the European competition this term. They made no mistake in their bid to get off to a winning start on matchday one, easing to a dominant 2-0 home success against Olympiacos. The only negative was the fact that they arguably should have won by a wider margin.

Rangers don’t have the best record against Lyon, winning just once in the last four meetings. Meanwhile, Lyon have recorded wins in three of their last four away matches against Scottish teams. Their only defeat was suffered at the hands of Celtic in September 2003.
It makes for a fascinating betting heat this week, given the fact that the Gers have an excellent home record after losing just once in their last 17 in the Europa League group stage. Meanwhile, Lyon have won six of their last seven away matches in the competition, with their only defeat being suffered against Atalanta in December 2017.
