- Charlotte FC is the team with the worst defense in the 2023 MLS.
- Galaxy’s forwards really need to start playing better.
On Tuesday evening, Los Angeles Galaxy won El Trafico, beating Los Angeles FC 2-0. It was a game of the 2023 US Open Cup, while in the MLS, Greg Vanney’s boys aren’t doing as great. In fact, they’re sitting at the very bottom of the Western Conference table with only 9 points after 13 matches. The good news is that they could get away from the bottom if they beat Charlotte FC on Saturday, May 27.

Game Preview
Los Angeles Galaxy is the most decorated team in the MLS, but in 2023, these guys aren’t doing great. Their record is 2-3-8 (9 pts) with a score differential of 10-23. With just 10 goals scored in 13 games, they have the second-worst defense in the conference. That’s kind of surprising given the fact that they’ve got some real soccer legends in their attacking department, most notably Chicharito.

The Mexican striker, however, has been completely out of shape, scoring just one goal so far. What’s really worrying is that Galaxy’s top scorer – Dejan Joveljic – has scored just one goal more than him.
The good news for them is that they stand a very good chance of improving their scoring stats this weekend when they’re locking horns with one of the worst defenses in the league. Charlotte FC is the team in question, whose defense has conceded 25 goals so far, which is more than any other team in the league.
LA Galaxy vs Charlotte FC Prediction
It’s high time for Los Angeles Galaxy to start winning again in the MLS. Vanney and his men are desperate for points and with the help of their fans in LA, we think they’re going to win all three on Saturday.
