Match Preview
Lee Carsley has done nothing to negatively affect his chances of landing the full-time England position to this point. The former Republic of Ireland international has won each of his two matches in charge of the Three Lions, scoring a total of four goals without conceding.
However, Greece will likely pose the biggest threats to the Three Lions in this Nations League group. The EURO 2004 champions have started the tournament in excellent form after winning each of their opening two matches, and they currently sit above England in the standings on goal difference.

However, England have never lost a match against Greece in their international history. The Three Lions have won seven of the last nine meetings, with this week’s showdown being the first clash of any description since a 2-0 success at Old Trafford in 2006. Frank Lampard and Peter Crouch were among the scorers in that 4-0 win.
Carsley will once again keep faith with many of the stars that represented him at U21 level, and Dominic Solanke could be in contention to start the match on Thursday as Harry Kane is an injury doubt. Angel Gomes could once again start after making his international debut against Ireland last month.
England vs. Greece Picks
The Three Lions boast a very dominant record in this fixture, and their chances of victory this week look increasingly likely. We struggle to see anything other than a comfortable home success for England.
