Match Preview
Nottingham Forest’s eye-catching start to the season has come unstuck in recent weeks after stumbling to two straight defeats. However, they still sit in a prominent position in the league standings, and a win on Saturday could see them move level on points with the teams in the Champions League spots.
Ipswich will take plenty of positives from their run of recent results after avoiding defeat in each of their last three. However, they have still won just once in 12 outings this season. The Tractor Boys would have taken massive confidence from their 1-1 draw against Man United last Sunday.

Forest have an excellent head-to-head record in this fixture, having lost just once in their last six matches against Ipswich. Over that period, the Tricky Trees have recorded four wins. But, this is the first meeting between the teams since a 1-1 draw in March 2019.
Ipswich’s away record against Forest is also a concern, as they have failed to win in their last 14 visits to the City Ground since a 1-0 victory back in December 1999.
Forest are unbeaten in their last eight matches against promoted teams, winning each of the last four in succession. However, Forest will need to improve defensively this weekend after conceding six goals across their last two matches in the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest vs. Ipswich Picks
This should be an interesting showdown at the City Ground on Saturday. However, the recent form of Ipswich should be considered as the value play, as their attacking players could be primed to give them a second away win in as many matches.
