Match Preview
Liverpool will be aiming to keep their title challenge on track this weekend when they travel to the East Midlands. A victory for the Reds would see them open up a four-point advantage over their closest rivals, and confidence within the camp should be high after winning the EFL Cup in their latest match. Liverpool have also won each of their last three in the league.
Nottingham Forest are battling for their lives at the opposite end of the standings, as the East Midlands side have suffered defeats in two of their last three to sit just four points clear of the relegation places. They come into this weekend after suffering a 14th loss of the season last weekend.

Forest’s home record in this fixture deserves respect this weekend. They are unbeaten in their last 13 home matches against the Reds, which includes all six previous encounters in the Premier League. Liverpool landed a 3-0 win in the reverse fixture this term, but they haven’t completed a league double over Forest since the 1984-85 season.
It would be safe to assume that Forest should be capable of finding the net this weekend, as they have scored in all nine matches under Nuno Espirito Santo. However, they have kept just one clean sheet since his appointment. Meanwhile, Liverpool have won seven of their last eight in the league, scoring at least three goals in six wins over that period.
Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool Prediction
This should be a good test for Liverpool on Saturday, but it remains hard to overlook their chances despite their poor away record against Forest. We will be siding with an away victory and both teams to score on Saturday.
