Public Golf Courses in Las Vegas

Las Vegas has a blend of public and private golf courses but the status of either shouldn’t sway you from your true purpose, i.e. locating the best golf courses in Las Vegas.

While private golf clubs may add a bit of exclusivity, they often come with unnecessary etiquette and generally can prove too much of a hassle.

Here are some great public golf courses in Las Vegas:

  1. Las Vegas National Golf Club
  2. Painted Desert Golf Club
  3. TPC Las Vegas
  4. Prim Valley Golf Club
  5. Rio Secco Golf Club
  6. Angel Park Golf Club
  7. Desert Pines Golf Club
  8. Badlands Golf Club

The truth is there are very few truly private golf clubs these days. Some popular ones include the Las Vegas Country Club, SouthShore Country Club and TPC at Summerlin. Las Vegas Country Club is also the highest rated golf course despite its exclusivity.

Other than that, golf still has a bit of exclusivity to it, but it’s much more accessible and if you have the money to keep up with the game costs, you will be able to visit all worthwhile golf courses in Las Vegas, including the best.

Perhaps, when you look for public golf courses, you mean municipal, which are slightly more accessible than most, but there are just three of those in Las Vegas.

How Many Golf Courses Are There in Las Vegas?

Overall, there are 40 golf courses in Las Vegas, Nevada. Three of those are municipal courses. Yet, if you feel a little confined by this number, you can venture outside of Las Vegas and seek out as many as 19 more courses just within a 20-mile radius from the city.

Any golf courses near Las Vegas (and inside it, of course) are overwhelmingly popular and well-kept, no matter of their status. Players will have a great variety of clubs to choose from, and admittedly always find the best golf courses in Las Vegas.
