Looking for some NBA player props for Tuesday, May 7, 2024? If so, we’ve got two such bets for you. The first one is centered around the performances of Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum in the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics game.

The other NBA player prop is focused on Luka Doncic and his performance from the 3-point line in the Dallas Mavericks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder game.

Cavaliers vs. Celtics

How to Watch

  • When: Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. ET
  • Where: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts
  • Channel: TNT

Prop Pick

It’s time for the first game of the Eastern Conference Semifinal clash between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics. The game is taking place at TD Garden in Boston, where the Celtics are famously hard to beat.

The evidence of this is that they won nine of the last 10 duels with the Cavaliers at TD Garden. The game that they didn’t win was a loss after overtime.

These two met twice in Boston in the regular season, with the hosts winning each time. What’s interesting, however, is that Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell was the top scorer in both of those games.

He’s been brilliant in the 2024 postseason, which is why bookies expect him to put on a show tonight as well. However, we don’t think he’s gonna score as many points as Boston’s Jayson Tatum.

The thing is that the Cavaliers vs. Celtics is a Playoff game, and the home team will take it super seriously. You can expect the Celtics to do very well defensively, which should result in them stopping Mitchell from scoring as many points as usual.

Mavericks vs. Thunder

Prop Pick

Of all the teams that made it to the Conference Semifinals of the 2024 NBA, the Oklahoma City Thunder had the worst defense against shooting from the 3-point line in the regular season. These guys were allowing 13.2 points from distance per game.

This is something that really needs to worry them ahead of the game with the Dallas Mavericks. The reason is that Dallas’s Luka Doncic is one of the best 3-point shooters in the league.

In the regular season, he was averaging 4.1 points per game from the 3-point line, which was second only to Steph Curry. In the postseason, he hasn’t been that impressive, scoring just 2.7 per game, but he has increased the number of 3-point attempts.

We think it’s just a matter of time before he starts scoring a lot of them again. In fact, it might even happen tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
