Of all the teams that made it to the Conference Semifinals of the 2024 NBA, the Oklahoma City Thunder had the worst defense against shooting from the 3-point line in the regular season. These guys were allowing 13.2 points from distance per game.
This is something that really needs to worry them ahead of the game with the Dallas Mavericks. The reason is that Dallas’s Luka Doncic is one of the best 3-point shooters in the league.
In the regular season, he was averaging 4.1 points per game from the 3-point line, which was second only to Steph Curry. In the postseason, he hasn’t been that impressive, scoring just 2.7 per game, but he has increased the number of 3-point attempts.
We think it’s just a matter of time before he starts scoring a lot of them again. In fact, it might even happen tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
