Ohio State won an enormous game against Penn State last week. The two teams entered ranked #3 and #7, with a combined 12-0 record. The Buckeyes were in control of the game from start to finish. Their defense held the Nittany Lions to just 6 points for 59 minutes, before a garbage time TD at the very end. They face another tough test at Wisconsin this week, with an opportunity to keep adding to their rรฉsumรฉ.
Wisconsin bounced back from their loss to Iowa in Week 7 with a win over Illinois last week. The Badgers remain in 1st place in the Big-10 West division, giving them an opportunity to play in the conference title game if they can keep winning. Their toughest test of the season is this week against #3 Ohio State. The Badgers are stout on defense, but need their passing game to get going to keep up with the Buckeyes.
Prediction
After watching Ohio State dominate legitimately great teams in Notre Dame and Penn State, it’s hard to imagine them losing to a Wisconsin team that has two unranked losses. The biggest hurdle will be playing this game on the road, but that alone shouldn’t be enough to sway the result. I see the Buckeyes posting another dominant performance in this game. They should be able to win it and cover without much issue.
