I’ll take the Cowboys to win here. Yes, this is risky, but hear me out.
The Cowboys have one of the worst defenses in the league, allowing 387 yards from scrimmage per game. But on the other hand, they will face a very unstable CJ Stroud who is under huge pressure. Not only on the field, where he has already suffered 10 sacks, but also in the public eye.
Dallas has a very potent attack that can score 25+ points against any given team in the league, no matter the opposing defense. Yes they lost against the Ravens last weekend, but that’s because of the fact that they had one of the best NFL offenses across the field. Both teams played to outscore the rivals, and in the end, Dallas came out empty-handed.
This isn’t going to happen in Sunday’s event, because the Texans struggle to score. If their rivals score 25 points, defeat is almost certain. I’m not underestimating Stroud. I simply think that he’s in a big crisis now, and that the whole team will suffer for a while. Once the Cowboys start and get their thing going, I’m sure that the Texans won’t have a suitable response.
