Team News

The action in the Western Conference playoffs will intensify this weekend, as game three in the series between the Kraken and Stars will be staged on Sunday. The Stars will come into game three in good confidence, as they drew level in the series on Thursday evening with a 4-2 win at the American Airlines Center.

It was an excellent response from the Stars after falling to a home defeat in game one, with Wyatt Johnston at the heart of everything good about Dallas. He scored once and registered an assist in the 4-2 success. Meanwhile, other goals in the success were netted by Evgenii Dadonov, Tyler Seguin, and Joe Pavelski.

The Seattle Kraken will be back in front of their home fans for the first time since reaching the second round of the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. They took an early series advantage in game one, but they were pegged back in Dallas on Thursday evening, meaning the next two games could be crucial to their chances of progression.

Seattle was always playing catch up in game two, as they allowed three goals in the second period, before conceding another in the fourth. However, Jordan Eberle and Tye Kartye both scored goals in the defeat. Meanwhile, both Vince Dunn and Yanni Gourde ended the evening with assists.

Picks

The Dallas Stars claimed victories in both visits to the Climate Pledge Arena during the regular season, and we could see that trend being maintained when the sides meet on Sunday. We can also see the visitors covering the spread to put pressure on the Kraken ahead of game four.
