The Dallas Stars will have home advantage, as they bid to move into a 3-2 series advantage. Dallas maintained momentum of the series in game four, as they rallied to record a 3-2 win on the road against the Wild. It was an excellent response by the Stars, as they hit back after falling to a 5-1 loss in game three.
The Stars scored once in the second period, before adding two further efforts in the final period. Tyler Seguin was a standout player in the success for the Stars, as he scored twice. Evgenii Dadonov also scored in the win. Meanwhile, Roope Hintz ended the night with three assists.
The Minnesota Wild will be outsiders in the betting for game five success, but they have already registered a road win against the Stars in this series. That victory was picked up in the second period of overtime in game one, but they have landed just one win in the following three showdowns between the sides.
They certainly showed their competitive nature in game four, but they lacked the quality in the final third to force overtime against the Stars. Their goals in the loss were netted by John Klingberg and Frederick Gaudreau.
Game four certainly appears to have impacted the swing of momentum in this series, and we will be incredibly surprised to see any other outcome than a Stars win on Tuesday. We expect Dallas to win the next two games to secure their spot in the next round of the playoffs.
