The Dallas Stars could take another step toward securing their playoff spot in the Western Conference on Monday. They come into this game after picking up five wins from their last ten games, but they will need to recover after having lost their previous game in the NHL.

Meanwhile, their home record could be a concern with the playoffs in mind, as they have gone 18-10-9 at the American Airlines Center. That means that they have picked up five fewer wins at home than they have on the road.

Every game will be vital for the Predators between now and the end of the regular season. They currently sit tenth in the overall standings, but they are just five points adrift of the playoff spots in the Western Conference.

They have impressed on the road throughout this season, as they have gone 19-15-4. The Preds were also excellent in their most recent game, as they picked up a huge 6-1 home win against the St. Louis Blues.

There will be pressure on both of these teams coming into this game on Monday. However, we will be siding with the Preds picking up a vital win on the road to enhance their chances of a playoff finish.
