A place in the semi-final will be claimed by either Atletico Madrid or Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League this season. The German side will come into this first leg as the outsiders in the betting, but they have been incredibly consistent throughout the competition to this stage.
Dortmund defied all expectations to finish top of a competitive looking Group F, claiming three wins from six across matches against PSG, Newcastle, and AC Milan. Atletico Madrid are so often labelled as dark horses in the Champions League, but it is no surprise to see them taking up a spot in this stage of the competition. The Spanish side were relentless in the group stage, landing four victories from six matches across fixtures against Lazio, Feyenoord, and Celtic.
However, they needed to show their character in the previous round of the competition, coming back from a 2-0 aggregate deficit after 33 minutes in the second leg.
