Match Preview
Domenico Tedesco will be tasked with delivering a first major honor for Belgium at this summer’s EUROs. It has been a period of change for the national side in recent years, with many of their more experienced players now having been replaced. However, Belgium still boast excellent quality in the final third, with the biggest responsibilities falling on the shoulders of Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne.
The nation has reached the quarterfinal stage in each of the last two editions of the EUROs, and they enjoyed yet another reliable qualifying campaign after winning six of their eight matches. Belgium’s form so far this year has been reliable after going four without defeat and winning each of their last two.

Slovakia will be playing in their third EUROs as an independent nation this summer, with their best recent showing coming when reaching the round of 16 in 2016. They enjoyed one of their best-ever qualifying campaigns for this tournament after winning seven of their ten matches to finish in second spot behind Portugal.
Their consistent performances on the field have continued so far this year, netting eight times across their last two internationals against Wales and San Marino. However, Belgium are unbeaten in their three previous meetings against Slovakia, with two of those fixtures ending in draws.
