Match Preview
The final quarterfinal on the schedule at the EUROs this weekend will see the Netherlands and Turkey collide in Berlin. It should be one of the most interesting showdowns in this round of the competition, with both producing their best performances to date in the round of 16 to set up this tie in the last eight.
The Netherlands have quickly emerged as one of the leading contenders to at least reach the final in Germany this summer, and there was plenty to like about their performance in the round of 16 against Romania. The Dutch dominated from the opening minute, and their 3-0 success only flattered their rivals. Donyell Malen netted twice in the final ten minutes to add gloss to the win, but they should have easily won by a wider margin.

Turkey were flagged up by many as a dark horse contender prior to EURO 2020, but they flattered to deceive when they were knocked out in the opening round. However, they have been much better this summer, and they could be a solid chance to reach at least the final four. Turkey secured their place in the quarterfinals with a battling display against Austria, with Merih Demiral netting twice. However, their defensive play was excellent, and Mert Gunok was excellent in the Turkish goal.
The Netherlands have won just once in their last four matches against Turkey, with two of the last three ending in wins for the outsiders this weekend. However, it is worth mentioning that the previous clash between the sides in September 2021 saw the Dutch land a 6-1 success in Amsterdam.
Netherlands vs Turkey Prediction
Turkey are a massive price to land success in this quarterfinal on Saturday, despite having impressed in midweek. Their excellent defensive quality could be a factor to consider this weekend, and we could see them progressing through to the last four.
