Man City piled the pressure onto Arsenal as they moved within six points of the Premier League leaders, with a game in hand and a clash against their rivals to come. Pep Guardiola’s side was dominant from the first whistle to the last here, scoring four goals and creating many more chances to increase that tally. Jack Grealish was superb once again, scoring one and assisting another but it will be Erling Haaland who grabs the headlines yet again. The Norwegian’s two goals, one a superb bicycle kick, took him to 30 Premier League goals in 27 appearances.

Leicester City fans showed their feelings about the club’s current situation by booing the team off at halftime and full-time in their 0-1 defeat to Bournemouth. Brendan Rodgers was relieved of managerial duties the previous week, and many feel like the club’s situation lay more in the hands of the board than their former manager. Dean Smith has been appointed as the new boss, and he will have his work cut out to bring a change of fortunes to this hapless Leicester team.
Prediction
We often see a ‘new manager bounce’ when clubs change their leadership, but it’s hard to forecast that here. Man City should have far too much for Leicester and the Foxes’ woes will continue with a defeat.
