Prop Pick

Aston Villa may be one of the best value selections in the Premier League this weekend, as they come into this away fixture in excellent form. Villa landed a 4-0 win in the reverse fixture this season, and we could see one of the scorers from that day finding the back of the net once again on Saturday.

No player across Europe’s top five divisions has scored more goals than Ollie Watkins since the World Cup break. His goal in Villa’s last away game against Leicester was his sixth consecutive game finding the net on the road. Since then, he has registered three in two league fixtures. That excellent form could continue this weekend.

Prop Pick

A massive game for Leicester at the King Power is set for this weekend, as they need maximum points to move out of the bottom three. They will be chasing a first top-flight double over Wolves since 1980-81, while the visitors haven’t won away at the Foxes since a Championship showdown between the two in May 2007.

Leicester is the only side not to have kept a clean sheet since the World Cup, while Wolves have failed to score in their previous five away from home against the Foxes. Jamie Vardy has scored just once this season, with that coming in the reverse fixture at Molineux. We could see the striker breaking his goalscoring drought this weekend.

Prop Pick

A huge game with Champions League implications comes from St James’ Park on Sunday. Newcastle could move six clear of Tottenham with a game in hand. The Magpies were handed a 3-0 defeat against Villa last weekend, and will be looking to avoid back-to-back defeats.

Tottenham has won four of their last five away games against Newcastle, but they are winless in four on the road in recent weeks. The latter of those trends will be the one that we will be following this weekend. We expect a Newcastle response, and their excellent defensive record means that we could see them winning to nil on Sunday.

Newcastle to win to nil
