It was business as usual for Arsenal on the opening day of the season, as they landed a home win over Nottingham Forest to get their campaign off to the dream start. Mikel Arteta will be hoping that his side can go one closer in the title race this term following a busy summer of activity. However, their chances have been hit hard this week following the news that Jurrien Timber is likely to be out for six months.
Arsenal needed to work hard in their opening match of the season, despite sailing into a 2-0 lead after 32 minutes following goals from Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka. Forest pushed late in the game, but the Gunners kept their cool to ensure that they picked up maximum points on the opening weekend for the fourth time in five seasons.
