Match Preview
Sheffield United have found life back in the Premier League very tough this term, and it looks unlikely at this stage that they will be able to gain the points to mount a bid for survival. The Blades come into this round sitting bottom of the standings, and they have gone five without a win in the Premier League. Meanwhile, they have picked up the fewest wins of any side in the competition this term.
The Blades at least ended their losing sequence last weekend in a thrilling encounter against West Ham United. Brereton Diaz scored on his debut for the club, before a late equalizer was netted by Oli McBurnie in the 13th minute of injury time. But, only a run of victories will aid their relegation chances given their current position in the standings.

Crystal Palace may not yet be safe from the threat of relegation at this stage, as the Eagles sit just five points above the bottom three places. They come into this round of matches after winning just once in their last five. The Eagles were well beaten on the road by Arsenal in their latest outing, as Roy Hodgson’s side allowed five at the Emirates Stadium on January 20.
Palace will take confidence from their recent record against the Blades, as they have picked up wins in each of the last three Premier League showdowns between the sides. Over that period, they have kept three clean sheets, and have scored a total of five goals. Sheffield United’s last win against the Eagles was achieved on the road in February 2020.
