Match Preview
A huge heavyweight clash will capture the attention of the world this week, as Netflix streams the showdown between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. It is the first boxing event to by streamed exclusively live on the streaming service, and an exciting contest is likely in the U.S.
It would come as a slight surprise that Jake Paul is as short as he is in the betting. The Problem Child has gained a fine professional record of 10-1, with seven of his victories coming via knockout. However, his only defeat did come against a fighter with a proven boxing background.
The vast majority of Paul’s victories have been recorded against MMA stars, including a decision win over Nate Diaz. There’s little doubt that if this fight were to be staged in the 1980s or 90s, Iron Mike would be the overwhelming favorite.

However, Tyson will be the outside chance, despite coming into the fight with actual achievements in the boxing ring. The former undisputed heavyweight champion was the youngest fighter in history to win the world title, and retired in 2005 after winning 50 of his 58 professional bouts.
Iron Mike is still regarded as one of the greatest boxers in the history of the sport, with a knockout-to-win rate of 88%. However, his aging body will be a big question that many will be asking this weekend.
Tyson was last in action in an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr, but a walking pace bout is unlikely against Paul this Friday.
Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Picks
While Tyson looked sharp in the open workouts earlier this week, we won’t know how fit he really is until he steps into the ring with Paul. As odds-on, the YouTuber isn’t a standout bet. Therefore, the preference is for Tyson to land an early victory.
