Fight Preview
One of the biggest money-spinning events on the boxing calendar this year will be staged in Saudi Arabia at the end of October, as Tyson Fury clashes with Francis Ngannou. The WBC heavyweight champion has been widely criticized for his decision to take on the former UFC heavyweight champion, who has no previous professional experience in the ring, as the boxing world continues to crave a unification bout between the Gypsy King and Oleksandr Usyk.
However, Fury has remained upbeat surrounding his decision, as he has claimed that the former MMA star is expected to put up a strong showing. But, the ramifications of a Fury defeat would not only be huge for the reigning heavyweight champion, but also the sport of boxing.

However, Fury has made defeat look like an unlikely outcome throughout his professional career, scoring 33 wins from 34 bouts. His only blip came in the form of a contentious draw against Deontay Wilder in December 2018. But, he quickly avenged that result by scoring back-to-back stoppage victories against the American in 2020 and 2021.
The WBC have clarified that this bout will be an official contest, with the fight being staged over ten rounds, but no titles will be on the line. Ngannou made his name in the UFC, winning the UFC Heavyweight championship in 2021 with a second-round KO win over Stipe Miocic. He successfully defended the title with victory against Ciryl Gane in 2022, before walking away from the UFC following the expiration of his contract.
Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Prediction
The bout is nothing more than a money-making scheme for both fighters. Fury’s price has shortened even further after clips of Ngannou boxing with Mike Tyson emerged, and we expect him to offer very little to test the reigning WBC heavyweight champion in Saudi Arabia.
