Preview

Boston picked up another elimination game victory, managing to stay alive. The Celtics played Game 5 at home much like Game 4, dominating the Heat and leading from wire-to-wire. They’ll face a tough task to win on the road in Game 6, but they have all of the momentum in their favor. No team has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit. The Celtics will need Jayson Tatum to keep up his hot play to have any chance.

The Heat failed to close the series out once again in Game 5, all of a sudden finding themselves in a tough position. If they can’t win at home in Game 6, they’ll face elimination in Game 7 on the road. Miami needs to get back to their level of play from the start of the series, so that they can win it in this game. They need their offense to start producing at a much higher level, after averaging just 98 points in Games 4 and 5.

Picks

This series has been all over the place, but there is a definitely an expectation for the Heat to win this game. No team has ever come back to win after trailing 3-0 in the series, but a few teams have managed to force Game 7. Surprisingly, Boston is the favorite in this game, despite being on the road. This gives some pretty ideal odds for betting on the Heat as an underdog. It could go either way, but I’ll take Miami.
