Game Preview

Memphis Grizzlies lost this Thursday night at home to the Houston Rockets, 119-115. But they got Ja Morant back following his injury, and he didn’t show any rust at all. The explosive guard scored 27 points with three assists and boards.

This has been the third defeat in the previous four games for the Grizzlies. They lost to the Kings and Warriors on the road and beat the Mavs in Tennessee before falling before the Rockets.

Minnesota Timberwolves have three straight victories. The latter two were on the road, one in New Orleans against the Pelicans, 104-97, and the other in Orlando. They were better than the Magic, 104-89. As you can see, their defense stepped up here to decide the final result.

Overall, the Timberwolves are the No.4 defense in the NBA, allowing 107.7 points per game. This is one segment of the game where they improved a lot compared to the previous season.

Grizzlies vs. Timberwolves Head to Head

This is the first of three meetings between the Grizzlies and the Timberwolves in the 2024/25 NBA season.

Grizzlies vs. Timberwolves Prediction

Memphis has Ja back, but when looking at the overall form, the Timberwolves are a better team right now. Additionally, they are the hosts. Even though that didn’t have too big of an impact on their results (10-7 at Target Center), we have to bet on the Timberwolves to win this one.
