Game Preview
The Kings’ management is again moving in the wrong direction. After all the poor decisions in the past, they decided to make another one, putting De’Aaron Fox in the trade block. We’ll be polite here and say this move is “unwise.”
Since Doug Christie took over the head coaching spot, the Kings have been playing excellent basketball and are in the play-in zone. Making such a mess regarding their biggest star right now is unthinkable, yet it is possible in Sacramento.
OKC has no such worries, as they continue to smash and bash every opponent standing in their way. With a 20-3 record at their Paycom Center, Mark Daigneault’s boys are the most ruthless crew at home in the West.
The Thunder still has the best defense in the NBA, with 104.6 allowed per game – the least in the league. That’s because Daigneault found a way to use a small-ball lineup on the defensive side of the court, not only on offense.
Kings vs. Thunder Head-to-Head
There was one game prior to this since the season started. It occurred on November 25 in Sacramento, where OKC trashed the Kings 130-109.
Kings vs. Thunder Prediction
Sacramento Kings have lost three of the past four games, all on the road. Their momentum faded, and on top of that, they are tired now. So, our pick here is OKC to win and cover a 5.5-point spread.
