Game Preview
We don’t quite know what’s going on with the Jazzers, who have only three wins and 11 losses so far. The last three were on their tour through California, where they suffered defeats to the Kings, Clippers, and lastly, the Lakers 121-118. They made a huge push in the final quarter, outscoring the Lakers 43-27, yet without completing a full comeback.
The Jazzers allowed the hosts to shoot 55% from the field, which was the biggest reason for the loss.
Wembanyama was out against the OKC Thunder, but the home team won this one, 110-104. Gregg Popovich wasn’t there as well due to his stroke, but it seems that such a situation only motivated the home team.
San Antonio made 19 threes and we need to emphasize 32 assists, something which isn’t too frequent with Wemby on board due to his iso game and ball consumption. Eight players had 10+ points, Keldon Johnson the most 22.
Utah Jazz vs. San Antonio Spurs Head to Head
This is already the third meeting between the two franchises. Both won one apiece in the previous two, claiming it on the road, 106-88 for the Spurs in Salt Lake and 111-110 for the Jazz in Texas.
Utah Jazz vs. San Antonio Spurs Prediction
The Jazz, in fact, plays better than their results are showing, and this event, particularly if Wembanyama isn’t playing, could be a chance for them to make a surprise. Also, we doubt that the Spurs can repeat a shooting night like they had against the OKC Thunder. That’s why we pick the guests to triumph. NBA betting is sometimes risky, though in this case, our pick is worth trying.
- Jazz vs. Spurs pick: Jazz win
