Preview
The Bengals had another very disappointing game on Sunday. They lost to the mediocre Titans, 27-3, and fell to 1-3 on the season. Cincinnati has definitely felt the effect of Joe Burrow attempting to play through injury, but that is just a portion of their problems. After having the NFL’s worst ranked offense through the first four weeks, the Bengals need to take advantage of this game against Arizona, despite their injuries.
Arizona was unable to build on their Week 3 win, losing 35-16 to the 49ers. It was always going to be a tough matchup against a San Francisco team that ranks at the top of the league, but the Cardinals still showed some positive signs. Their defensive line has been a pleasant surprise, ranking in the top-10 with 12 sacks. Rookie Michael Wilson had a standout performance, reeling in 7 catches for 76 yards and 2 TDs.
Prediction
The Cardinals have been playing much better than most people expected this season, while the Bengals have been playing far worse than expected. If that pattern continues, Arizona could very well win this game at home. That being said, Cincinnati should still have the overall advantage. It’ll come down to how Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins are feeling injury-wise, but I ultimately see the Bengals getting the win here.
