The Carolina Panthers enter this one with their core and backbone defined, meaning HC Dave Canales doesn’t need to look far on his depth chart and can simply try out rookies.
This means that Kenny Pickett won’t play too much, as he is for sure the backup QB; therefore, expect to see Hayes King receiving a solid number of snaps.
The Arizona Cardinals and their new head coach Mike LeFleur are in a completely different situation, which is why we assume he could use more of his big names.
Sure, not top stars, but since this is his first game, the less famous LeFleur brother would like to both win it and see what he has at his disposal. Also, we believe that he will specifically try to see the third-round pick, QB Carson Beck and his capabilities.

This guy is a potential starter at some point in his career. HE is a third-rounder, and LeFleur will try to get the most out of him in his first appearance, meaning he will have plenty of reps on the field. Remember, he was the two-time CFP champ as a backup and reached the CFP game last year as the starter. This should be normal for him.
Panthers vs. Cardinals Predictions
Cardinals need this game more than the Panthers. LeFleur needs this game more than Canales. The motivation on the Cards’ side is way higher than with the Panthers, and believe us, that’s the only reason we are betting on Arizona.
