Kansas City earned a spot in their 6th consecutive AFC Championship game after beating Buffalo. They are now just two seasons shy of tying the record set by Tom Brady and the Patriots of 8 straight AFC title games from 2011 to 2018. The Chiefs improved to 3-0 against the Bills in the postseason with Mahomes under center. They’ll face another brutally tough road matchup against the Ravens defense in Baltimore.

The Ravens surged past the Texans on Saturday. After playing a close first half, Baltimore pulled away in the second, building a 24-point lead. They continue to look like one of the very best teams in the NFL, but face a Chiefs team led by Patrick Mahomes, who is difficult to eliminate in the postseason. The Ravens top notch defense will make a big difference, but they’ll also need QB Lamar Jackson to keep up his elite play.

Prediction

The AFC Championship features two fantastic teams led by phenomenal quarterbacks. Additionally, they both have defenses that rank in the top-5 in the NFL. It’ll be key to see how well each QB can make the most of mediocre weapons against lethal opposing defenses. Baltimore should have a slight advantage on the defensive end, but I’m not sure that will matter to Mahomes down the stretch. I’ll take the Chiefs here.
