- The Cardinals shocked the NFL with a 16-28 victory over the Cowboys in week 3.
- The 49ers made light work of the Giants in a 12-30 win on Thursday night.
- These teams last met in January with the 49ers winning 13-38.
The 1-2 Cardinals travel to San Francisco to take on the 3-0 49ers in this week 4 matchup. Despite defeating the Cowboys last week Arizona faces a much tougher test here against one of the best teams in the NFL right now.

Game Preview
The Cardinals caused one of the biggest upsets of the season so far when they defeated the Cowboys last weekend. Tough on defense and efficient on offense it was a complete performance from Arizona last time out. They will require all that and more as they take on the 49ers here in week 4. James Conner, Marquise Brown, and Rondale Moore will all need breakout games to have a chance of causing a similar upset against the best the NFC has to offer.
The 49ers ran out comfortable winners against the Giants in week 3 but they have a few injury concerns amongst their receiving corps as a result. Deebo Samuel missed practice on Wednesday with a rib injury and his status will require monitoring as will that of Jauan Jennings. Brandon Aiyuk returned to practice, albeit limited, after missing the Giants game due to a shoulder injury. All eyes will rightfully be on Christian McCaffrey as the superstar running back has found the end zone in 12 consecutive matches.
Prediction
The Cardinals were excellent against the Cowboys last week but this test feels like a step too far for Arizona. I expect to see a comfortable 49ers win once again as they cement their position as the best the NFC has to offer.
