Game Preview
The Rams are hopeful that Cooper Kupp will be fit to return by week 5, when his spell on the IR comes to an end, so until then Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell will remain the main men on offense. Kyren Williams will provide support from the running back room and the sophomore has looked every bit the lead back since his elevation to the role. QB Matthew Stafford will have to cut back on his recent spate of interceptions for the Rams to have success this week against a solid Colts defense.
The Colts lost to the Jaguars in week 1 but since then they have looked like a side capable of springing a few surprises this season. The fitness of RB Zack Moss has played a large part in their revival and the 4th year starter picked up 122 yards on 30 carries this week, adding 23 yards and a touchdown on two receptions. It was another huge week for kicker Matt Gay, the 29-year-old went 5/5 on field goal attempts with four of those coming from over 50 yards. Anthony Richardson will attempt to clear concussion protocol this week, with Gardner Minshew continuing the QB duties if he fails to do so.
Prediction
The Rams will want this to be a free-flowing, shootout kind of game but the Colts will most likely turn it into a war. Los Angeles isn’t the kind of team to win ugly so I side with Indy here in a matchup that could swing either way as the market suggests.
