Game Preview
The Bears lost to the Broncos in week 4, despite holding a 14-point lead going into the final quarter. QB Justin Fields showed improvement, but the team as a whole is struggling. Fans remain hopeful for upcoming matchups against the Vikings and Raiders in weeks 6 & 7 after a tough matchup here in week 5.
Washington made Philadelphia work hard for their fourth consecutive win of the season, taking the game to overtime and eventually losing out 31-34. Wide receivers Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel and Jahan Dotson all put in solid performances and all three found the end zone. Samuel and Dotson’s injury status will require monitoring with both listed as questionable on a short rest week.
Prediction
Times are tough for Bears fans right now, and despite Justin Fields providing a rare glimpse of his perceived talents against Denver this is a tough matchup for Chicago. Washington took the Eagles very close in week 4 and I expect them to handle the Bears with relative ease.
