NFL Week 5: New York Jets vs Denver Broncos Odds, and Picks (Oct 8)
- The Jets lost a tight game 23-20 vs the Chiefs on Sunday.
- The Broncos edged the Bears 31-28 last time out.
- These teams last met in Oct 2022 with the Jets winning 16-9.
The 1-3 New York Jets take on the 1-3 Denver Broncos in a battle between two sides struggling for form.
How To Watch
In their game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Jets showed a level of consistency that had been missing all season. While Aaron Rodgers watched from the sidelines, quarterback Zach Wilson had his best game yet in a Jets jersey. He completed 28 out of 39 passes for 245 yards and 2 touchdowns. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, New York ended up with another loss. Sophomore running back Breece Hall is back in form with 6 carries for 56 yards and he has no snap count restrictions heading into week 5.
Russell Wilson led the Broncos to their first win of the season with a 31-28 victory over the Bears. Despite trailing 7-21 at halftime and losing RB Javonte Williams to injury, Wilson threw for 223 yards and three touchdowns. Rookie RB Jaleel McLaughlan emerged as the primary backup, rushing for 72 yards and a touchdown. Williams was limited in practice on Thursday and his status will require monitoring.
The Jets defense is a force to be reckoned with. If Zach Wilson can keep their offense moving they have a great chance of picking up a win here. With Breece Hall no longer on a snap count, I’m backing them to do just that.
