The Cowboys outscored the Chargers 10-7 in the 4th quarter to consign Los Angeles to defeat on Monday night. RB Austin Ekeler saw 68% of snaps on his return from injury but was unable to do much with them. Ekeler managed 14 carries for just 27 yards, adding 35 more on 4 receptions and the 28-year-old will have to perform a lot better against the Chiefs in week 7. WR Keenan Allen continued his fine season, racking up 85 yards on 7 receptions with one touchdown.

The Chiefs weren’t quite at their best against Denver on Thursday night but they still won with relative ease. A Kadarius Toney touchdown and 4 field goals from Harrison Butker were enough to get them over the line. Rookie WR Rashee Rice is emerging as the top target from the receiving corps, snaring 4 passes for 72 yards in week 6. TE Travis Kelce put all doubts surrounding his ankle to bed as he caught 9/9 targets for 124 yards. The Chiefs are finding ways to win even when they don’t look completely in sync, a scary prospect for any opponent.

Prediction

The Chargers will provide Kansas City with one of their toughest tests of the season so far. I expect the Chiefs to raise their game for this one and win, but it will be tighter than they would like.
