Match Preview
Newcastle will be delighted with the start to the Champions League campaign that they have made after gaining qualification for the tournament for the first time in 20 years. The Magpies currently sit at the top of the Group F standings after going two without defeat across their opening matches in the competition.
Newcastle will be full of confidence after recording their biggest-ever victory in the competition on matchday two, recording a 4-1 win over PSG. That victory means that the Magpies now boast a 60% win rate in home matches in the Champions League.

Borussia Dortmund will be looking for improvement this week, as they sit at the bottom of the Group F standings after the opening two rounds of matches. The German side has lost on each of their previous six trips to England in all UEFA competitions, with their latest defeat coming at Tottenham Hotspur in 2016.
Dortmund have now failed to score in their last three matches in the Champions League. That is as many times as they had failed to score in their previous 28 matches in the competition. But, they have never gone four Champions League matches without finding the back of the net.
Newcastle vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction
Newcastle are unbeaten in five previous meetings with German opposition, and it looks challenging to overlook the Magpies this week, as they boast an incredibly strong home record in the Champions League.
