Match Preview
The pressure will be on Canada coming into the final round of matches in Group D, as they face the prospect of being eliminated at the first hurdle. They come into their final group stage match having picked up just two points from their opening two matches, and they sit two points adrift of the teams in the qualifying spots.
Canada weren’t able to bounce back from their disappointing performance against Guadeloupe in their opening match, as they were held to a second successive draw over the weekend by Guatemala. Only a victory will be good enough against Cuba to secure their spot in the knockout round.

Cuba’s journey in the Gold Cup has already come to an end, as they can’t make it through to the next round of the competition. They have lost both of their matches in the group stage, with the most recent of those coming against Guadeloupe over the weekend.
That was a disappointing performance by the team, as they were easily beaten by a 4-1 scoreline. Cuba has landed two previous wins against Canada in 14 previous clashes, but they have lost each of their last six against the Canadian national side. They have also failed to score in each of the last five.
Canada vs Cuba Prediction
Canada look very hard to oppose in this fixture in Group D, as they boast an excellent head-to-head record against Cuba. We fancy Canada’s chances of securing victory by covering the spread.
