Match Preview
Eintracht Frankfurt will be looking to complete their success against Ajax when the clubs clash for the second time in seven days. The German side was excellent in the first leg in Amsterdam, as they fought back from a goal down to register a 2-1 win. Ellyes Skhiri netted the important winning goal with just 20 minutes remaining in the Netherlands.
This will be the first time since 1981 that Frankfurt have come up against a Dutch side on home soil. They recorded wins in each of their last two matches against teams from the Netherlands, with the latest coming against FC Utrecht.

Ajax will need to overcome a poor recent record in Germany after winning just once in their last five matches. Over that period, they have suffered three defeats. It would also be a concern that Ajax have been eliminated from eight of their last nine European knockout ties after losing the first leg. Their only win was in the last 16 of the 2018-19 Champions League against Real Madrid.
Eintracht Frankfurt boast an excellent record in home matches in Europe this season. They have won each of their last three without conceding. They haven’t enjoyed a longer winning sequence without allowing a goal since November 1994.
