Game Preview
Los Angeles FC is an excellent team, the main evidence being that this is the team that won the MLS Cup last year. Sure, some of the key men from the title-winning season are no longer in the club, but LAFC does have some amazing players on the roster, most notably, forward Denis Bouanga who’s this team’s scoring leader. He didn’t score in the 4-0 destruction of the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday, but he did record two assists.
Bouanga’s colleagues from the attacking department have also been great this season, which explains why LAFC is one of the highest-scoring teams in the league. But it’s this team’s defense that’s been truly exceptional in 2023, making LAFC incredibly hard to score against.

This is what needs to worry Charlotte a lot as its offense has been somewhat anemic since the start of the summer. The thing is that in their last five MLS games, they scored only five goals. They did do better offensively in the Leagues Cup, but unfortunately for them, they ran into Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami in the quarterfinal stage.
Charlotte vs. LAFC Prediction
Charlotte just isn’t a good team, and the fact that Saturday’s game is played in North Carolina shouldn’t matter much. After all, with a 3-5-3 record at Bank of America Stadium, this team has the worst home record in its conference.
