FC Dallas is just one win away from securing a spot in the 2023 MLS Playoffs. Luckily for Nico Estevez and his men, they should be able to do it on Saturday, October 14. It’s because that’s when they’re welcoming the Western Conference’s worst team, the Colorado Rapids, at Toyota Stadium in Frisco.

After drawing the last four MLS games, FC Dallas got itself in a tricky situation. The Texans are sitting in the last available playoff spot at the moment, with two teams having a chance to leapfrog them by the end of the regular season. That, of course, is only possible if FC Dallas ends up losing its remaining two games.
But that probably won’t happen. In fact, this team is a huge favorite to win against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, which would mean securing the spot in the postseason. That seems like good enough motivation for FC Dallas’ players to give their utmost this weekend.
They’ve got the motivation on their side, which their next opponent does not. Colorado is sitting at the very bottom of the Western Conference and no matter what happens in the next 10 days or so, the Rapids will finish the season in last place.
FC Dallas vs. Colorado Rapids Prediction
FC Dallas hasn’t been scoring much lately, which is surprising given that this team has some really elite forwards – Jesus Ferreira, Jader Obrian, Bernard Kamungo, and so on.
They haven’t scored more than a goal in their last four MLS games, but we think that ends this Saturday. Not only are they going to beat the Rapids, but they’re going to blow them out.
