Game Preview

New York City FC is the team that won the MLS Cup two years ago. Last season, “The Bronx Blues” finished their campaign in the Eastern Conference Final in which they lost to Philadelphia Union. This season, however, it looks as if they’re going to struggle to make the playoffs.

They’re currently in 11th place with just 16 points in 14 games (4-4-6 record). The worst thing is that they’re in horrible form with no wins in the last five MLS rounds. The main reason for this is that they’ve been anemic in the offense, scoring just 16 goals thus far.

In comparison, the in-form Cincinnati has scored 22 goals this season. FC Cincinnati is sitting top of the table in the East with a 10-3-1 record and no losses since April 15. The guys from Ohio won each of their last four games in the MLS, keeping a clean sheet in two of those.

New York City FC vs FC Cincinnati Prediction

NYCFC players have no other option but to go all-in on Wednesday. They really need to up their game, especially when it comes to attacking. We think they’re going to pull it off – scoring at least a goal or two against FC Cincinnati – but we’re not sure that’s gonna be enough for a win. Instead, a draw looks like the most plausible outcome.
