Women’s Open: Picks to Finish in the Top 10
The final major of the 2026 season is set for this weekend, as Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club hosts the Women’s Open. A competitive field has been assembled to compete in the major, which was previously held at the Lancashire course back in 2018.

Women’s Open Picks: Top 10 Finish
Lottie Woad
We are very sweet on the chances of Lottie Woad this weekend, as her form has continued to catch the eye since turning professional. On the LPGA Tour in 2026, the British player has made the cut in 13 of her 15 starts, finishing in the top ten on five occasions.
However, it is her record at the Women’s Open that is especially eye-catching. She finished T10 as an amateur in 2024, before finishing T8 12 months ago. Woad has all the ability to go very close this weekend.

Georgia Hall
Georgia Hall is another British player with strong claims this week. Hall will need to bounce back after failing to make the cut at last weekend’s Scottish Open, but she has been a regular performer in majors.
Most notably, she won the British Open when it was previously held at Royal Lytham in 2018. Hall has made the cut in eleven of her 13 starts at her home major, finishing in the top ten on three occasions.
Lauren Coughlin
Lauren Coughlin could be a player that is going under the radar this weekend. She is a former winner of the Scottish Open, and showed her ability on links courses once again last weekend when finishing T5 at the same event.
The American finished T13 at the Women’s Open last year, and she has shown consistent form throughout this season, including a career-best T14 at the U.S. Women’s Open.
Esther Henseleit
German star Esther Henseleit could be one of the best value plays when making top 10 picks for the Women’s Open. She showed her quality last weekend to take a solo fourth at the Scottish Open, and she typically raises her game for the biggest events on the calendar.
The 27-year-old is yet to win a major, but she has made the cut in 20 of her 32 appearances, and has finished in the top 20 in two of her last seven major starts.
