Game Preview

New York City FC is in horrible shape right now with a 0-1-4 record in the last five games in all competitions. What’s interesting is that in each of those games, NYCFC was the away side.

The last time the New Yorkers played at home, they defeated FC Dallas 3-1. It happened on April 22, and now, more than a month later, the Boys in Blue are coming back home. That’s where they’re undefeated in 2023, with a 4-1-0 record in the MLS.

That’s one of the main reasons why they’re expected to win on Saturday. However, Philadelphia Union is a team that mustn’t be underestimated. These guys are strong in all aspects of the game, with their offense being their strongest weapon.

Penalty expert Daniel Gazdag is their standout player with six goals to his name, but his teammates aren’t trailing much behind. In fact, one-third of all Philly’s outfield players have scored at least one goal in the 2023 MLS.

The most important thing about Philly is that its players are in top form at the moment, with a 4-2-0 record in the MLS since early April.

NYCFC vs Philadelphia Union Prediction

Our prediction for the New York City FC vs Philadelphia Union game is that there will be a lot of goals. We should see both teams scoring, but it’s Philly who looks capable of scoring more.
