Game Preview

Despite taking the lead through Ricardo Pereira’s 56th-minute goal, Leicester was second best for most of their encounter with Crystal Palace and the Foxes were deserving losers by the final whistle. Crystal Palace amassed a staggering 31 shots during the match and with stats such as that it is no surprise that Leicester is winless in six matches. The board finally lost faith in their man as Brendan Rodgers was sacked on Sunday, staring down the barrel of relegation. Rodgers’ fellow weekend victim of the axe Graham Potter is now the favorite to take the helm at the King Power Stadium.

Aston Villa secured a 0-2 away victory against Chelsea on Saturday to move into 9th place in the Premier League, just one point behind 8th-placed Liverpool. A deft lob from in-form forward Ollie Watkins and a 25-yard thunderbolt from midfielder John McGinn was enough to sink the Blues and ensure Graham Potter was relieved of managerial duties following the game. Aston Villas has picked up 26 points from their 14 games since Unai Emery took charge, a record only bettered by Arsenal, Man City, and Man United in that time.

Prediction

Leicester will be hoping that a new manager can be installed swiftly as they face a battle to remain in the league. Whoever is in charge of the Foxes for this one can expect a bad day at the office given Villa’s away form and we expect Unai Emery’s men to win this one with relative ease.
