Ange Postecoglou couldn’t have dreamt for a better start to life at Tottenham, as the North London club come into the coming round of matches sitting clear at the top of the standings by two points from Arsenal. Spurs have won eight of their opening ten matches, meaning no incoming boss in the Premier League has ever enjoyed a better start than the Australian.
Tottenham maintained their excellent start last weekend, as they secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace. Heung Min Son netted the crucial second effort in that London derby. The victory saw Spurs open up a five-point advantage at the top, which was their biggest advantage at the summit since winning the title in 1960-61.

Chelsea are still very much a work in progress under Mauricio Pochettino, as the Blues slipped to a fourth defeat of the season against Brentford last weekend. Over the same period, Tottenham have landed just nine wins. Despite defeat in the most recent clash, Chelsea have won three of the previous five against Tottenham.
