Game Preview
Al Nassr is now in top shape with 10 straight wins, six of which happened in the Saudi Pro League. However, in the early stages of the 2023 season, these guys weren’t too impressive. In fact, they lost the first two games of the 2023 SPL season.
The result is that Al Nassr is now sitting in the No. 4 position in the standings, which wouldn’t be too much of a problem if other teams weren’t in great shape as well. This goes especially for table leader Al Hilal, which is expected to start impressing even more once Neymar ups his game. Then, there’s also Al Ittihad, the winner of last season’s SPL, which is currently second in the standings.
What all this means is that if Al Nassr wants to challenge for the trophy, Cristiano Ronaldo & Co. need to continue playing great. These guys have been great offensively, scoring 3.00 goals per game on average. Their defense has been alright as well, although we did see them concede at least a goal in each of their last four SPL games.

This shouldn’t worry them much, though. It’s because their next opponent is one of the worst Saudi Pro League teams when offense is concerned. Abha has scored only five goals in the eight games played so far in the 2023 season.
